The Elisabeth House (E-House) was inaugurated on 14 April 1908 as a Maternity Home for Windhoek and the first baby was born on 29th of April of the same year. The last baby born at the facility was on 22nd March 1981.
Elisabeth House is now part of the Namibia University of Science and Technology.
